Low level input
Use Honeywell PMIO LLMUX FTA. Each FTA supports 16 channels. Two types of LLMUX FTA are supported. One provides 16 RTD inputs. The other provides 16 TC or MV inputs. Any combination of FTA can be used to provide the required mix of TC, mV or RTD points. Remarkable features ? TC and RTD operation ? Temperature point can be added in 16 point increments to support temperature input LLMUX to support existing solid-state PMIO LLMUX FTA. PMIO LLMUX FTA supports RTD and thermocouple (TC) inputs. Collect temperature variables from all points at a rate of 1 second. The 1-second update includes a configurable check of the open thermocouple detection (OTD) (see below) before the temperature variable propagates. All TC inputs are compensated by the cold junction compensation (CJT) device. The sampling and open sensor detection temperature multiplexer supports RTD and thermocouple, and carries out open sensor detection (if configured) before PV delivery. When OTD configuration is activated, PV is sampled and held while OTD cycle is executed in the same measurement window. If OTD is negative, PV propagates upward through the system.
Input channel soft fault is set
If OTD is positive, PV is set to NAN and input channel soft fault is set. In this way, improper control action will not occur for PV value invalid due to thermocouple open circuit. PV sampling/reporting does not cause additional delays in OTD processing.
