因為在鍛壓過程中滑塊產生的作用力非常大，所以機械式壓力機工作時，必須保證工作人員身體的任何一個部位都不可以接近壓力機工作區(qū)。為避免危險動作可能造成的人身傷害，在機械壓力機的周圍，通常會裝有各種安全設備，如：雙手操作臺、安全光幕、腳踏開關等，由這些安全設備發(fā)出的指令來控制壓力機。
Absopules MOX12-P3509模塊 歐標EN692和機標JB3350-93都要求對壓力機的功能實現(xiàn)安全監(jiān)控。該類監(jiān)控傳統(tǒng)上可以采用施耐德電氣專用XPS安全模塊來實現(xiàn)，通常一個安全模塊能監(jiān)控一個安全功能。壓力機的安全監(jiān)控必須使用多個模塊，導致排線繁復，安裝不便，故障排除困難。施耐德電氣新推出的XPSMC系列安全控制器可以同時監(jiān)控多種安全功能的，其一體化的解決方案大大簡化了壓力機制造商的安全應用。XPSMC系列安全控制器可同時監(jiān)控多種安全功能，帶有16或32個輸入，8個獨立的安全輸出（6個固態(tài)安全輸出+2×2個繼電器輸出）。

斷軸監(jiān)控等壓力機的基本原理
在介紹機械式壓力機安全解決方案之前，我們有必要了解其基本工作原理。
如下圖所示，壓力機通過與凸輪相連的硬桿，將飛輪的旋轉運動變?yōu)橹本€運動。其中：
TDC：上死點，壓力機的停止點。
BDC：下死點。
凸輪正轉（順時針）時，滑塊就在上死點和下死點之間來回動作。停止命令給出后，要求滑塊必須停止于上死點（最多超程量為上圖中所示的S）。
XPSMC的安全監(jiān)控功能
XPSMC安全控制器通過2個凸輪驅動的限位開關來檢測曲軸的整個工作周期、保證壓力機滑塊停在一個非危險的位置。
